Magnus Kompanie Aufgebot Hesse 1471-1479

Suppliers

This is by no means an easy list to compile. The cost of this hobby can be prohibitive. that is why his group is making every effort to be self-sufficient in recreating as much gear as we can ourselves. At times, however, it is just as nice to purchase things from a business.

There are several businesses all over the world. It seems, however, that half want too much money while the other half just want to take your money in the guise of a good deal and not deliver your product. This can be frustrating on many levels. To this end it is advised that you contact the Hauptmann before purchasing from anywhere, even the sites listed below.

To that end, presented below are a few trusted retailers and custom shoppes.

he Where on getting things.
The following lists are intended to aide members in obtaining pieces to their kit.  It is sorted by Era, then Country of Origin if applicable.  (an asterisk "*" shown before the link or information shows suppliers that have agreed to give special discounts to members of this group. You must contact the Hauptmann to take advantage of these offers.)

* Magnus Kompanie.  Many memebers of the Kompanie can make things for your or better yet help you make it yourself!

* Adams wood and metal working.  Paul Adams recreates wooden and metal camp equipment from any era.  Examples include Folding Beds, Chairs, Tables and Kitchens.  Metal working include Braziers for camp cooking.  Very historically accurate, he is also able to work from a detailed diagram provided by the customer for special orders.

* Phoenix Wynd.  A conclave of crafters associated with Magnus Kompanie.  Makers of fine aroma therapy oils, soaps and the like.  Also sells chainmaille made-to-order, leather working and book-binding.

* Illusion Armoring  Based in Phoenix Arizona, this USA based firm has fantastic armour at incredibly favorable rates!  Has agreed to give a discount to our group under certain conditions of sale.  This is a highly recommended armouring firm!

Museum Replicas.  There are only a very few pieces from this company that are acceptable for what we do.  Most else is too unauthentic.

Medieval Weaponry.   They carry a lot of what Museum Replicas carries at lower price.  Again, ask before you buy these products, as only a very few are acceptable.

Therion Arms.  Therion carries a lot of SCA and theatrical stuff.  Ask before you buy, but he is more interested in the hobby than taking your money and is generally trustworthy.
